- Disruptive community behavior will never be tolerated; this invitation to our exclusive group does not give Gnomies unlimited reign to destroy the experience for others. Play nice! If you have a problem with another person, please keep your grievances private and contact us to help find a resolution.
- No spamming. It’s quite alright to introduce yourself and talk about what you do, but if the nature of your contributions to this community are largely self-serving, we’ll ask you to tone it down.
- We do have budding entrepreneurs in our midst who are hungry to learn more – so while our code of conduct covers everybody, those who aren’t 18+ are on a probationary period when it comes to the social components of our community. We give everybody (from anywhere) a fair chance, but only if they can handle themselves in an appropriate manner. Access will be granted at the discretion of our team – with their 15+ years of community-building experience.
- All persons under the age of 18 need to have permission from their parent(s) for two reasons: (1) subscriptions are run through PayPal, and (2) this service is designed specifically for adults. You can email a scanned, signed note to affiliate@gnomies.com after you complete this registration process.
- We can’t offer refunds, since after joining you have equal access to our valuable assets. If you’re looking for a trial period, understand that the past 15 years of LockerGnome and Chris Pirillo’s public efforts have been enough of a trial. If you like, we could donate your subscription value remainder to a non-profit organization, instead.
- You will not share group passwords with people who aren’t also Gnomies. This devalues the service for everybody, and we’ll be forced to change the access codes. This should be a given – but at least you should know we will not tolerate leaks and cheats of any kind.
- Be polite. Please. We can’t stress this enough. If you sound snippy (especially in voice chats), other people will feel intimidated and the community spirit will be lost. Yes, there are times when our patience is tried – and we may feel the need to be more direct. However, a respectful, non-sarcastic tone is mandatory in all group chats when the other person is obviously not playing around. Gnomies isn’t a breeding ground for those with superiority complexes. Have fun, but not at another’s expense.
- We will not promote anything illegal or something that is considered “spammy” in nature. We will also not promote your resource if it is merely an affiliate link.
- If any of these terms are violated, your Gnomies subscription may be terminated at our discretion (but only after communicating with you to see if we can resolve the issue without resorting to cancellation). You may just lose partial access – specifically, to our social conduits.
- To cancel your membership, you have to disconnect your subscription from PayPal first.
